A few words about the image

Logo

More than just the nation’s capital, Budapest continually demonstrates its excellence as a premier city for sports. This December, just before the Christmas holidays, swimming returns to Budapest. The countdown has begun for the Short Course Swimming World Championships, where hundreds of top-class athletes, in the world’s fastest pool, will deliver breathtaking races to fans from every corner of the globe.

The shared love of water and sport brings the athletes and the audience together, just like our pride — the Chain Bridge — unites the two banks of the Danube. That’s why, when designing the event’s logo, our choice fell upon Budapest’s bridge, famed worldwide. The Chain Bridge represents the connection between the water and the city, but it also symbolizes the power of sport to transcend boundaries and unite communities.

Slogan

A single breath. Just a few moments. That’s all it takes for records to be shattered and for new chapters to be added to the annals of sports history. The 2024 Budapest Short Course Swimming World Championships will be all about these moments. Prepare for exciting, fast-paced races that will have spectators holding their breath from start to finish.

Hold your breath!
What does this slogan mean to us? It captures the swimmers’ eager anticipation as they are poised at the starting blocks. A well-timed breath before the final lap. The cheers from the audience that echo through the Duna Arena. Watching the magic of the races intently and with bated breath, making sure we don’t miss any of the big moments.

10–15 December, Duna Arena. Hold your breath!
